About the Job:
We are seeking a team player to own, optimize, and scale our global transportation network. Managing sea and road freight operations between our international plants and distribution centers, this role requires a balance of analytical clarity and hands-on execution. Reporting directly to Global Logistics Director, you will drive transportation procurement, lead carrier negotiations, and leverage data to maximize throughput, enforce service level agreements (SLAs), and minimize total landed costs.
Key responsibilities
· Network optimization & Procurement
o Evaluate, design, and continuously improve global sea and road freight networks
o Lead end-to-end freight tendering (RFP / RFQ) and contract renewals
· Carrier & vendor management
o Oversee selection of best forwarding alternative in terms of pricing and service level
o Supplier’s transportation performance monitoring
· Problem solving
o Serve as the escalation point for logistics bottlenecks
· Data, Systems & Analytics
o Develop and scale transportation management system (TMS) workflows, track shipments, and provide guidance to management
· Strategic projects participation & enablement
o Support cross-functional projects in strategic development of supply chain network
o Train team peers on logistics best practices and market dynamics
Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Management, Industrial or Supply Chain) or equivalent industry experience
· Experience: Minimum 3 years managing international transportation, freight forwarding, or carrier procurement
· Technical skills: Microsoft Office familiarity (Excel, PowerBI), TMS system familiarity, analytical mindset
· Communication skills: Ability to comunnicate clearly, calmly, using facts and data
· Language skills: Czech and English (both professional fluency)
